Because Jesus recognized the importance of prayer in his own life, He taught His disciples how to incorporate the practice into their own lives and ministries.  First Baptist follows this example through the Intercessory Prayer Ministry and volunteers participate by accepting requests from anyone experiencing difficulties and requesting help in dealing with those struggles.  Anyone may contact the prayer room at any time by calling (806) 665-PRAY (665-7729).  If no volunteer is available, an answering machine will record the message.  In this way, many prayers can be offered for those experiencing need.
