At First Baptist we believe that everyone has a role when it comes to missions--whether it is praying, giving, or going or maybe all three!

Praying:

Join us in praying for the glory of God's name to spread throughout the world, for missionaries and their ministries thoughout the country and the world as well as praying for those involved in specific crisis's like the recent catastrophes in Haiti and Chile.

Together may we say "Not to us, O Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory because of your love and faithfulness." (Psalm 115:1)

Giving:

There are several options for giving to missions:

The following ministries are some of those that we support monthly through your regular tithes/contributions:

Crisis Pregnancy Center
Good Samaritan House
Local Gideon's Chapter
Iglesia Bautista Emmanuel

Other missions* we support through your designated offerings:

Annie Armstrong Offering - Supports the North American Mission Board and is collected from March to June.
State Mission Offering - Supports Texas Missions and is collected from July to September.
World Hunger Fund -  80% goes to international causes while 20% goes to stateside hunger causes and is collected during the month of October
Lottie Moon Offering - Supports the International Mission Board and is collected from November to February.

Going:   

First Baptist has a strong history of not only praying for and gving to missions but also of traveling throughout the country and the world for the sake of the Kingdom of God and the glory of His name. Various groups of students, adults, singles, men, and women have traveled to but not limited to: New York, New Orleans, various sites in Texas and Oklahoma, British Columbia, Hungary, Russia, England, Hondurus,  Nicaragua, and North Africa. 

Future trips will be listed here for your participation including Church Builders which takes a trip every summer.

First Baptist Missionaries:

Numerous missionaries have gone out from First Baptist to serve with the International Mission Board or the North American Mission Board as well as many more who have gone on to serve in local church ministry.
